About Our Organization
Risalah School of Excellence (RISE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and an independent private school approved by the Washington State Board of Education. We are committed to delivering exceptional academics while fostering strong character and leadership, all through an Islamic lens.
RISE is expanding to establish a comprehensive middle and high school, serving grades 6 through 10.
Beyond our full-time school, RISE extends its impact through after-school and weekend programs, providing educational and enrichment opportunities for learners of all ages.
Our vision is to blend academic rigor with Islamic principles, nurturing students who excel academically and are deeply rooted in their faith.
What Makes RISE Different?
International Baccalaureate (IB MYP) program
RISE is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, making us the first Islamic School in the area to offer this globally recognized program. The IB curriculum fosters critical thinking, global awareness, and academic excellence while encouraging students to develop leadership and service-mindedness—values deeply rooted in our Islamic principles.
High-school with fully in-person instruction
RISE is expanding beyond middle school to establish the first fully in-person Islamic high school in the region. Our high school will offer a comprehensive education that blends strong academics with character-building, leadership training, and a deep connection to Islamic values—all in a dynamic, engaging classroom environment.
Level Based Arabic Language learning
At RISE, we recognize the importance of Arabic as the language of the Quran and a key to understanding Islamic heritage. Our level based Arabic language program focuses on building proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension, helping students connect deeply with their faith while gaining valuable linguistic skills.
Advanced Placement (AP) Courses for Academic Excellence
We are proud to announce that RISE has been approved by the College Board to offer Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Starting in 8th grade, our students will have access to rigorous, college-level coursework that prepares them for future academic success. AP courses help students develop advanced skills, earn college & highschool credits, and stand out in competitive college admissions.
Deepening Faith Through a Strong Islamic Studies Program
At RISE, Islamic education is at the heart of everything we do. Our Islamic Studies curriculum integrates Quran, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, and Seerah with real-world applications, empowering students to develop a strong identity and live their faith with confidence. Through daily lessons, discussions, and mentorship, we cultivate a love for learning and a commitment to ethical leadership.
Prioritizing Social-Emotional Well-Being
At RISE, we prioritize emotional well-being alongside academic success. Our SEL class helps students build resilience, manage emotions, and develop healthy relationships, while our counselor provides personalized support to ensure every student thrives socially, emotionally, and academically.
